Okay, so you want to know if your audience rocks with your personal brand style. Great! You first have to understand that there are three main reasons why your audience is saying no to your brand style:

  • They aren’t your actual target audience.

  • They have a bigger vision for your brand.

  • They aren’t connecting with your brand on a deeper level.

Keep this in mind, sis! Pivoting can look different for you based on your industry and what you hope to achieve through your brand style. If your brand style doesn’t flow or connect with your audience, then you will lose them, and we can’t have that!

I know that you’re not a mind reader, sis, but tapping into the minds of your audience is the only way to know how they feel about your current brand style. If they aren’t telling you directly, then you can find out through asking these thought-provoking questions:

  1. What words/feelings come to your mind when you see my personal brand style?

  2. What do you like about my personal brand style? What do you dislike?

  3. What do you believe is missing from my brand’s style?

Now, pay attention here! Once you’ve gathered the questions you want to ask your audience, now is the time to ask them in a unique fashion (see what I did there). Depending on the industry you specialize in can determine the creative ways you can get this information out to your audience.

Here are two examples of ways you can sneak in these questions without speaking them verbatim to your audience:

  • Post a cute pic rocking your personal brand style on the Gram and ask for your audience’s thoughts.

  • Provide options for your audience to choose from related to the fashion pieces you want to wear for a special event.

From there, you can come up with solutions! Are you going to use specific colors that resonate more with your audience? Are you going to try a different approach to showing your personal brand style to your audience? Are you going to find other ways to reach your actual audience? The ball is in your court!
